Scope and content
File consists of letters and printed emails that document the early planning stages of Mary Tremblay’s international comparative study on the development and impact of medical and rehabilitation services for veterans following the Second World War. This study would encompass archival research in Canada, the United States of America, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. A large portion of the letters was sent by Charles Roland, who introduced Mary Tremblay to various historians in the countries that were to be studied. These historians would assist Mary Tremblay with facilitating her research. Correspondents include Gavin Daws, Joan Beaumont, Paul Mansfield, Bryan Gandevia, Dale Smith, Robert Joy, Rita Hays, Harry M. Marks, Kimberly Pelis, Sally Bragg, and Julie Anderson.
