Included are professional and personal journals of the trip with entries from both Dr. May Cohen and Dr. Gerry Cohen (the author’s initials appear at the end of each entry). Also included is correspondence, case presentations, presentation material, publications, articles, and reports.

Allyn Taylor International Prize in Medicine (1987), the Trillium Clinical Scientist Award (1991), the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (2000), Honorary Membership in the German Network for Evidence Based Medicine (2008), Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), and the Distinguished Fellowship of the Canadian Academy of Health Science (2013).

File consists of photocopied news clippings published in the Toronto Star relating to Edwin Baker’s role as the founder of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), a photocopied document with chronological data on Baker, and a photocopied conference speech that Baker gave at the National Conference on the Rehabilition of Handicapped persons in 1950, titled “The Place of Civilian Rehabilitation in Canada’s Social Security Programme”.
File consists of photocopied journal articles and briefs written by Ronald Bayne. Included are two journal articles published in 1998 from the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) that recount Baynes experiences with tuberculosis, a briefing paper on “The Role of the New St. Anne’s Hospital”, and a briefing paper titled “Quebec Association of Sheltered Workshops, Brief to the Health and Welfare Commission, Province of Quebec” which discusses the topic of workshops that help the disabled find employment.
