Nota geral
Transcript content may vary slightly from the original recordings. As part of the interview process, Mary Tremblay provided initial transcripts to narrators for review and editing. In cases where both edited and unedited versions existed within a single file, only the edited and finalized versions were retained. Tremblay also created and preserved bound, edited copies of transcripts; duplicate copies were removed. Each edited transcript includes an appendix or index of significant topics, themes, individuals, and places referenced in the interviews, with corresponding page numbers. These indexes were created by Tremblay to support research and accessibility.
Nota geral
A small number of records document oral history interviews conducted by Mariane Bakarich, who was a graduate student hired by Mary Tremblay to assist in her research; and Professor Jerry Bickenback from Queens University.
Nota geral
Letters found explicitly state that material from three interviews was to be removed and destroyed due to the withdrawal of consent for Mary Tremblay's studies. In compliance, this material was removed and destroyed by the archives technician upon consultation with the HSL archivist.
